Artist Statement

My work is a celebration of color, texture, and the natural world, expressed through the tactile medium of yarn. Yarn has become more than just a material; it is my canvas and my voice. Each piece allows me to push the boundaries of this medium, using yarn to paint scenes, weave stories, and create whimsical critters that capture the essence of the life around us.

I incorporate driftwood, reclaimed fibers, and other found materials, giving each piece a unique personality shaped by the materials themselves. By repurposing what others have set aside, I aim to highlight the beauty of sustainable practices and mindful creation. My goal is to create an immersive experience that draws viewers in, inviting them to explore the warmth and depth of yarn as it echoes the textures of the natural world. Through my art, I hope to inspire others to see beauty in the unexpected and to reconnect with the tactile, grounding elements that connect us to our environment.
